Rainforestation Nature Park offers three individual attractions that can be enjoyed by self-drive visitors: the Army Duck Rainforest Tour, Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience and Koala & Wildlife Park.
The Army Duck is a unique amphibious adventure travelling through the tropical rainforest by land and water, with commentary about the rainforest and its wildlife.
The Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience combines a traditional dance performance with a Dreamtime Walk led by Indigenous Pamagirri guides, providing an insight into ancient culture, traditions and the connection to Country.
The Koala & Wildlife Park lets you explore Australian wildlife at your own pace, with elevated boardwalks, free-roaming kangaroos and wallabies, koalas, cassowaries, Lumholtz's tree kangaroos, wombats, dingoes, reptiles and crocodilians.
Don't miss Jack the Ripper, a 5-metre saltwater crocodile with a dramatic history, safely viewed from a special platform. Nearby, juveniles of freshwater species like crocodiles, turtles, and lizards can be seen basking and swimming.

Rainforestation Nature Park is located at 1030 Kennedy Highway, Kuranda, at the top of the Kuranda Range. It is approximately 5 minutes' drive from Kuranda Village and 30 minutes from Cairns.
Rainforestation is open daily from 9:00am, with the park operating through the afternoon. Visitors should check the current activity timetable when planning their visit.

The Army Duck is an authentic amphibious World War II vehicle that travels through the rainforest by land before entering the water. Guides provide commentary about the rainforest, plants and wildlife along the way. The Army Duck tour goes for 30 minutes.
The experience combines a Pamagirri Dance Performance in the rainforest amphitheatre with a guided Dreamtime Walk, introducing visitors to Indigenous culture, traditions and traditional implements. This activity takes approximately 1 hour.
Yes. The Dreamtime Walk includes demonstrations and an opportunity to try boomerang throwing, along with learning about traditional spear throwing and other cultural practices.
