Discover Magnetic Island and Townsville's coastline on an exciting 2-hour Jet Ski tour. Begin your adventure at Townsville Breakwater Marina, heading past Castle Hill, Kissing Point, and across Cleveland Bay towards Magnetic Island. Cruise over underwater features like Virago Shoal and Middle Reef, and explore the SS Adelaide shipwreck before heading north to West Point, once home to the original Quarantine Station.
Experience the island's natural beauty, from the rocky outcrops and historic Bay Rock Lighthouse to the scenic Five Beach Bay, where tropical fish and wildlife abound. Explore rarely-visited beaches, native landscapes, waterfalls, and swimming holes. Visit Horseshoe Bay and its lively beachfront, protected swimming enclosure, and local cafes and markets.
Continue around to Nelly Bay, the island's commercial harbour, and see the stunning granite boulders of Orchard Rocks before reaching Picnic Bay and its historic jetty. Requirements and Safety:
All participants must demonstrate clear understanding of the safety briefing and practical operation of the Jet Ski in English. A practical skill test is performed before starting. The minimum age to operate is 16 (parent/guardian signature required if under 18), and passengers must be at least 8 years old. The maximum individual weight is 130kg and the combined Jet Ski weight limit is 200kg.
Medical and Fitness:
Please inform the team of any pre-existing medical conditions. Participants must have a minimum fitness level, including ability to tread water with a life jacket if separated from the Jet Ski.
What to Bring:
Protective sunwear, towel, driver's licence or photo ID, sunscreen, water bottle, hat suitable for Jet Skiing, and a camera with lanyard if desired. You may bring a stinger suit or hire one on site.
Weather Policy:
Tours may be cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled due to adverse weather. Conditions range from calm at 5-10 knots to mixed at 15-20 knots.
Storage and Lost Items:
Jet Skis have forward lockers and glove compartments for personal items. Only bring essentials. Items lost during the tour are not covered.
