Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is a wildlife attraction at Wangetti, between Cairns and Port Douglas. The park features crocodiles, cassowaries, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, reptiles and many other Australian animals, along with wildlife presentations, walking trails and a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon.

Hartley’s is located on the Captain Cook Highway at Wangetti, approximately 40 minutes north of Cairns and 25 minutes south of Port Douglas.

The attraction is open daily from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with the exception of designated closure days such as Christmas Day.

It is worth allowing at least 3–4 hours to properly explore the park, take the lagoon cruise and see some of the scheduled presentations. Visitors wanting to see several presentations and explore the extensive walking tracks can easily spend most of the day here.

Yes. A Hartley’s Lagoon boat cruise is included with general admission. The cruise travels through the tropical wetlands where guests can see large saltwater crocodiles and other wetland wildlife. Cruise times are allocated on arrival, with additional cruises often scheduled during busy periods.

Hartley’s Lagoon is one of the attraction's main crocodile viewing areas, and the cruise provides an opportunity to see large saltwater crocodiles in their lagoon environment. Crocodile viewing is a major feature of the cruise, although wildlife behaviour can naturally vary.

The park is home to a large variety of Australian wildlife, including saltwater and freshwater crocodiles, cassowaries, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus, reptiles, waterbirds, fruit bats and lizards. The Gallery of Living Art also features snakes, lizards and other reptiles.

The Crocodile Attack Show is a live presentation at 3:00pm featuring experienced keepers demonstrating the power and behaviour of saltwater crocodiles, including behaviours such as the famous death roll and head shake.
