Overview
Escape the crowds and discover the spectacular rainforest, waterfalls and swimming holes of Cairns on a half-day adventure through the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. This small-group 4WD tour is a fantastic way to experience some of Far North Queensland's most beautiful scenery in just a few hours.
Your adventure begins with pickup from your Cairns accommodation before travelling up the scenic Kuranda Range and through the mountain village of Kuranda. Continue into Barron Gorge National Park for a visit to the famous Barron Falls and the spectacular Wrights Lookout, where there's time to capture some memorable photos.
From here, leave the sealed roads behind and enjoy an exciting off-road 4WD journey along Clohesy River Road. Travel through lush tropical rainforest and across the Great Dividing Range before exploring the Clohesy Boardwalk with your knowledgeable naturalist guide. Discover ancient rainforest, giant strangler figs and rare King Ferns while learning about the unique environment of the Wet Tropics.
The adventure continues at beautiful Davies Creek, where you can take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear water when conditions permit. Afterwards, enjoy a taste of locally made ice cream before travelling back towards Cairns through the World Heritage-listed rainforest.
