The trip begins with a journey of approximately 90 minutes to reach rich fishing grounds within a 50-kilometre radius of Cairns. This adventure is open to families with children aged 10 and above, passionate anglers, and curious visitors alike.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch served around midday as you take in ocean views. After a rewarding day of fishing, your catch will be cleaned, iced, and bagged ready for you to take home or to your favourite local restaurant.

Return to Cairns marina is between 3:30 and 4:00 pm. The all-inclusive price covers fishing gear, food, bottled water, and all reef taxes. Please bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a camera, and cash for drinks, or feel free to bring your own drinks (no glass and mid strength only).

Check-in is at 6:00am at the Check In Hub at Shop G10, The Pier Shopping Centre, 1 Pier Point Road, Cairns City. The crew then escorts guests to the vessel at Marlin Marina.

The charter travels to the Great Barrier Reef, generally fishing in waters approximately 30–60 metres deep and within around a 50km radius of Cairns. The skipper selects fishing locations according to conditions and fish activity.

Target species include Coral Trout, Large and Small Mouth Nannygai, Red Emperor, Spanish Mackerel and Trevally. Other species may also be encountered depending on the location and conditions.

No. The shared charter caters for everyone from complete beginners to experienced anglers. The crew provides advice and a short fishing technique briefing before you begin fishing.

Yes. Fishing rods, reels, tackle and bait are supplied, so you don't need to bring your own fishing equipment.

Yes. A cold buffet lunch is included, along with bottled water. An afternoon fruit and grazing platter is also provided during the return journey.

Your legal catch is cleaned and bagged by the crew. The operator follows Queensland fishing regulations, including size limits, no-take rules and seasonal closures.

Yes. BYO drinks are permitted, subject to the operator's conditions. Alcohol must be mid-strength and in cans, with no glass permitted. Drinks are also available for purchase onboard.

Yes. Children 10 years and over are welcome on shared charters. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult, who remains responsible for their supervision.

Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, comfortable clothing and suitable footwear. A towel can also be useful, and you may want cash or a card for drinks and merchandise.

Yes. The crew regularly accommodates first-time anglers and provides assistance with the fishing equipment and techniques. The charter is designed for guests with a wide range of fishing experience.

Fuel Levy: Due to ongoing increases in fuel costs, a fuel levy of $60 per person applies to this charter and will be collected directly. Important: Children should be aged 10 years or older to participate. Please bring appropriate sun protection and your camera. Glass bottles and high-strength drinks are not permitted onboard.
